Question:Kevin Mammola Atlanta Divorce Attorney

I'm looking for financial advice on divorce in terms of how assets will be divided in a divorce.

Is one's salary considered a joint asset after the date of separation but before the final divorce?

Also, what about stock awards which vest after the separation date? How are stocks divided?

Question:divorce lawyer Ashley Hughes

Our child custody agreements call for me to reimburse my ex-wife for 50% of the children's medical expenses. The caveat is she has to provide those invoices to me within 30 days.

However, she has been holding on to the bills for upwards of 6 months and then dumps them on me all at once demanding payments be made within 30 days.

Do I have to pay 50% of all invoices regardless of how long she takes to send them to me, which is in direct violation of our agreement that I must receive all medical bills within 30 days?

mens divorce lawyerQuestion:

I have filed an amendment to our child custody agreement that both my wife and I agreed to in mediation.

We both signed all the paperwork and had it notarized. We are awaiting the judge's approval, but my wife has started to indicate that she might fight the parenting time agreement we reached since she is having second thoughts.

Is this child custody agreement we signed binding since it was a mediated settlement?

Attorney Joe CordellFor his latest column on AskMen.com, DadsDivorce.com founder Joseph Cordell explains the moral, ethical, strategic, and, in some cases, criminal costs when it comes to spying on your wife.

Cordell explains how all your snooping - the keylogger, the recorded conversations, etc. - could put your legal strategy at a disadvantage, as you may risk losing credibility with the court.

"Are your discoveries admissible as evidence? Even if those revealing text messages are allowed in divorce court, would it do you any good?" asks Cordell, who is the principal partner of Cordell & Cordell, the nation’s largest firm focusing on men’s divorce.

Attorney Joe CordellIn his latest column for AskMen.com, DadsDivorce.com founder Joseph Cordell explains how playing the blame game can come back to hurt you in divorce proceedings.

Click here to read the article where Cordell describes the typical client who is stunned and confused that his wife wants a divorce and ends up making concessions or changing his behavior.

"The client has exaggerated his own faults in the breakdown of the marriage and slips into the mentality of: 'If I agree to everything she wants, there’s a better chance we could get back together,'" writes Cordell, who is the principal partner of Cordell & Cordell, the nation’s largest firm focusing on men’s divorce. "Not only is it a bad strategy to save a marriage ... but also those seemingly innocent apologies could be used as admissions that could hurt your case."
