Handling Custody Cases with Former Chief Justice Sandy Keith

Matt Allen, editor of DadsDivorce.com, visits with Sandy Keith, former chief justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court who has been practicing family law for 50 years. Keith is upset with the way child custody cases are handled – he won’t even use the word custody – and is proposing mandatory early neutral evaluations of all divorcing couples to try and solve their problems through mediation, thus saving time, costs, and bruised feelings.

Watch the video for our discussion on how family law has changed, how the handling of those cases changed, why he gave up handling child custody cases, and what’s kept him in this line of work for 50 years.
