Family law is one of the few areas of law where you can see the difference you make in people’s lives, according to Sarah Ward.

"I am dedicated to trying to make a difference in the lives of their children to make sure they have a father who is involved as much as he can be given that we have a court system that doesn’t necessarily believe that should always be the case," Ms. Ward said.

When children are involved in family law proceedings, Ms. Ward said attorneys must do their best to ensure the kids remain as unaffected as possible.

"I will make this difficult time less stressful for my clients by helping them to better understand and navigate the legal system," she said. "Together we will achieve the best outcome for you."

Ms. Ward received her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Louis University. She received her Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law.

Currently, Ms. Ward is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the St. Clair County Bar Association.

Awards

She was awarded the 2008 Highest Client Satisfaction Rating and the 2009 Top Overall Attorney by Cordell & Cordell.

As a law student, she clerked for the Southern Illinois University General Counsel’s office. She was selected as a member of the National Order of Barristers, a member of the Moot Court Board Appellate Division and a student member of Southern Illinois American Inn of Court.
