Going to court but reconciling?

Question: South Carolina, My wife has filed and now wants to reconcile and I do too. We have not gone to court yet but should I go even though she is not going but her attorney is going and will explain that we are reconciling? There is a court date for the preliminary.

Answer: If there is a court date scheduled and you do not have a memorandum of dismissal, order of dismissal or similar document you should appear at court to confirm that the situation is handled correctly. Anytime that a court date is schedule you should be at the proceeding unless specifically told by YOUR attorney that you do not need to appear.
