Need Legal Help

Question: I have just discovered that my ex has filed against me for more child support money. She is refusing to let me see my daughter any longer than 14 days at a time. I need to find out how to file for custody for my daughter and if you have any associates to represent me in her area. I live in Dallas and she lives in Harlingen TX 8 hrs south of me.

Answer: If you want to get custody, then you must show the court that there has been a change in circumstances since the entry of the last court order. Also you will have to show that it is in the best interest of your daughter to live with you. We do not have any offices there, but you can look at the Texas Bar website regarding attorneys in that area.
