Question:

I am currently going through a divorce in which my spouse has terminated her parental rights so the child lives solely with me.

If my spouse is legally no longer the child's mother, can she claim the child for tax purposes even though I'm the custodial parent?

Question:

My ex-girlfriend is pregnant with our child, but she has decided she wants to have an abortion. Is there anything I can do to prevent her from having an abortion?

Can the mother terminate her parental rights after the child is born so I can take full custody and she doesn't have to see the child again?

Many divorced dads are fed up paying child support for a child who refuses to see them. It's hard dealing with a child who does not want anything to do with you.

Some dads wonder if it's possible to terminate their parental rights to the child in order to stop the payment of child support.

In most states, termination of parental rights does not necessarily terminate the obligation to provide child support (unless the termination is occurring so that someone else, such as a stepparent, can adopt the child).

Question:

I am the non-custodial parent of a daughter who no longer wishes to see me, which I have accepted. My ex-wife says she will drop my child support, but that the only way Georgia will stop the child support order is if I terminate my parental rights.

Can the custodial parent have child support canceled? Do have to terminate my parental rights in order for the child support order to be canceled?

Question: 

I am pregnant with a man's child that I am no longer dating. We mutually agreed that he will have no parental rights of the child in terms of finances, visitation, custody, etc. I am trying to find out what the process would be to make this "separation" legal. How do we protect each other from future potential actions? Can his parental rights be terminated before the child is born?
