Noblesville Indiana Divorce LawyerQuestion:

We have a court-ordered child custody arrangement, but my ex-wife and I were thinking of informally modifying it.

Her new boyfriend is abusive and we both agreed that the children should stay with me for the time being, even during her scheduled parenting time.

Should we have this agreement notarized, or how can we make our verbal agreement upheld in court if an issue arose and made it look as if I was keeping our children from their mother?

Omaha Nebraska Divorce LawyerQuestion:

My temporary orders during my divorce force me to pay exorbitant child support costs along with my living expenses and the utility bills for the house she got to stay in.

These bills are almost bankrupting me and our divorce isn't even final! Am I obligated to keep paying these bills or can I modify temporary orders before they become final divorce orders and I'm left broke?

Mens divorce lawyerQuestion:

My ex is requesting an increase in the amount of child support I pay even though I am currently unemployed.

Can I file temporary orders to modify child support until we have to go back to court?

mens divorce lawyer Janet Yu JohnstonQuestion:

I have been ordered to pay temporary child support and alimony payments during the pendency of my divorce.

However, one child is 18 years old and I am unemployed living in a friend's apartment while my wife lives for free in her boyfriend's house and has a full-time job.

The judge must have inaccurate financial information to force me to pay so much money while I'm unemployed and broke with no place to live.

How can I get these temporary support orders reduced or eliminated?

Charlie Sheen custodyHis erratic and outlandish behavior has garnered Charlie Sheen a massive amount of attention the past week, but it also at least temporarily cost him custody of his children.

Police removed Sheen’s twin boys from his home per a court order issued after his estranged wife said she feared for her life, according to CBS News. Brooke Mueller filed legal papers saying Sheen threatened her with physical violence and stated, "I am in great fear for the children's safety while in his care."

CBS News reports the temporary restraining order prevents Sheen from getting within 100-yards of his twin children for roughly three weeks. (Note: image taken from Sheen's Twitter page.)

Though not as publicized, fathers find themselves frequently defending themselves from accusations of violence as emergency orders are more often used now for strategic reasons in divorce cases.
