Noblesville Indiana Divorce LawyerQuestion:

I share joint legal custody with my ex-wife and want to know what to do if I suspect my children are victims of domestic violence while with their mother.

My child has told me she is scared of her mother's boyfriend because he abuses my ex-wife.

I'm wondering if I could take my child to talk to a counselor about this without letting the mother know even though we share joint legal custody and would normally probably have to agree on such a decision.

divorce lawyer Andrew LaufersQuestion:

Despite the fact that I have joint legal custody, my ex-wife continues to take our child without my consent to medical specialists for unnecessary treatments that I am then responsible for reimbursement of the bills.

I have documented my protests via e-mail so it is in writing that she is violating the terms of the divorce decree, but the e-mails are ignored.

How do I enforce the decree and force her to include me on medical decisions for which I must pay?

Noblesville Indiana Divorce LawyerQuestion:

I have joint legal custody, but my ex-wife has informed the school that my childcare provider is no longer an approved person to pick up our child on my parenting time days.

Can the mother really do this or do I need to get a letter from a family law attorney stating that on my days I can still use the babysitter that I have had established all year?

Noblesville Indiana Divorce LawyerQuestion:

My divorce decree states that my ex-wife and I are supposed to agree on all school-related decisions, but she and her new husband have completely kept me out of the loop on my child's college selection process.

I do not want to be left out of the process of finding the right college for my child. They are potentially committing me to financial burdens that are unrealistic such as private schools or out-of-state schools.

What can I do to ensure my legal rights to be involved in this process are protected?

divorce lawyer laura langenburgQuestion:

I am still married, but I have sole physical custody of my children and I want to ensure that my children attend the schools in my school district.

If I have this form of custody, can the children go to school where there mom lives even though it's in another district?

I want to know how to ensure my address remains their primary residency so I can choose where they go to school.
