Question:

My ex-wife had an affair with a guy who has a reputation of using cocaine, but I can’t prove it. He also drinks and is on drugs treating his depression, which I can confirm. I want her to carry on with her life, but I don't want this guy's influence around my kids.

Can I get a restraining order to keep him away from my children? She can date him all she wants as long as he has no contact with the kids.

Question:

When my mother and father separated, my father was court ordered to continue making payments on the house. He did not make payments and my mother was forced to take a loan out to pay off the house. She died before the divorce was final and now my father wants to sell the house.

The deed was in both names, which I found out the hard way that the deed overrides her will. The thing is that he stopped making payments on the house against court orders and she paid off the house.

What action can I take to stop him from selling the house or be awarded 50 percent of the house as per her will or 50 percent of the selling price of the home?

Question:

My ex-girlfriend left me in April of 2007, but she is now harassing me by writing letters to my place of employment.  She is trying to get me fired and making other threats in general. I have contacted the police to no avail.

She took my child with her and I am sending a check monthly to her mailing address. Even though we were never married is there some law that I can use to prevent her from contacting me?

Question:

I am an Australian citizen living in Florida. Recently I divorced my wife. We have two children. Now she wants to take them back to Australia. Can I call US customs or anyone else to stop her from taking the kids to Australia?

Answer:

I am not licensed in Florida. There are usually laws that govern removing children from the country without the non-custodial parents permission. I would contact your divorce attorney to see about getting a temporary injunction preventing the move.
