Omaha Nebraska Divorce LawyerQuestion:

Years ago a restraining order preventing me from being near my ex-wife was dismissed, though I have continued to stay away from her since.

My child is graduating high school and I would like to attend since the graduation ceremony is open to the public.

Can I attend my child's graduation in a public setting if my ex-wife will be there?

Omaha Nebraska Divorce LawyerQuestion:

How do I know when my child support payments end?

My child turned 18 over the summer but I am still paying because he is being "home schooled" and failed to take the GED test.

I am unemployed and cannot afford to support a child old enough to support himself who has no motivation to graduate high school if my payments continue.

How can I terminate child support for a child who has failed to graduate on time?

Question:Cordell & Cordell attorney Andrea Miller

I am wondering about the termination of child support and whether my child is considered emancipated. My daughter is 18, still in high school, and has a child of her own, but she no longer lives with us.

She is on an extended high school graduation schedule where she will not graduate for another year. What are our chances of filing a motion for termination of child support based on these facts and the court honoring the request?

Question:Cordell & Cordell attorney Andrea Miller

My daughter turns 18 in July and I pay child support. I just discovered that because she missed so many days of school, she will not have enough credits to graduate. Do I have to continue to pay child support if she has to take an extra year of high school because she was held back in school for simply not going enough?
