Question:mens divorce lawyer

I am looking for divorce tips for men on how to enforce court orders.

I am supposed to have court-ordered counseling with my children in an effort to rebuild my relationship with them due to years of my ex-wife's parental alienation

However, since my ex has primary child custody and the counseling falls during her parenting time, she is refusing to take the children.

What can I do to get this court order enforced so I can have counseling with my children?

child custody forumBy Richard Thomas

This Father's Day, cherish the moments you have with your children. Now is the time to reach out to fathers who are unjustly kept from their children and remind them that although judges can take their kids away, judges can never take your children out of your heart.

During divorce or separation, family courts routinely designate one parent as the custodial parent and one parent as a non-custodial parent.

We have seen firsthand the psychological, social and emotional havoc wreaked on children by family courts, which routinely "award" non-custodial parents very little parenting time with their children.

We simply can no longer ignore the impact on children who are not having substantial contact with BOTH parents. This child that witnesses the court grant such measly time towards visitation is left hurt and wondering. Is bonding not important?

When a child grows up without constant, substantial contact with the non-custodial parent (mostly fathers) the consequences are serious and life altering.

Divorce Lawyer Joe CordellDadsDivorce.com founder Joseph Cordell appeared on "The Tom Sullivan Show" to discuss how child custody battles are being heavily influenced by family law judges' biases toward divorced dads.

"One purpose of the law is to protect us from those leanings of individual judges, but once you give a judge such a wide range of discretion and decision-making then it invites that sort of bias," Cordell said on the Fox News Radio show. "Historically, it has not worked in the favor of guys."

In divorce court, more than any other area of the law, judges have a huge amount of discretion so there’s a lot of opportunity for biases and particular preferences that all human beings have that come into play, Cordell said.

Count Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich among those advocating for rights for fathers and mens rights.

Gingrich criticized the combative family law system for its "extreme anti-male bias" against mens rights and its lack of divorce rights for men during a recent stop on his campaign trail in New Hampshire, according to the Fathers and Families website
