Question:

Per our divorce decree, I pay child support directly to my ex-wife. She recently moved out of state and I received a notification from her new state that I owe back child support and am in arrears.

I have not missed a payment to my ex-wife so obviously there is some sort of miscommunication or her new state is not recognizing my direct child support payments.

How can I prove to the state that I am complying with the divorce decree and paying child support directly to my ex-wife?

I owe child support arrears to my ex-wife, though we are considering getting back together and moving back in with each other.

If I reconcile with my ex-wife, what becomes of the child support arrears I owe?

I was ordered to pay back child support at a 12% interest rate. Is there a way to have the child support arrearage interest rate reduced or reviewed?

It is on my credit report and makes it harder for me to get a job because employers think I am a "deadbeat dad" when that is not the case.

I currently have child support payments garnished from my Social Security checks.

I need to have these arrears modified due to cost of living expenses and how burdensome it has become with such a large amount taken from my income.
