Omaha Nebraska Divorce LawyerQuestion:

I owned a car with my son, who is going through a divorce with his wife. Before divorce papers were filed, my son signed over his ownership interest in the car to me so I solely own the vehicle now.

So I took the car back, but my son received notice of a hearing date where his wife will argue that she should be entitled to the car because she frequently drove it during their marriage.

Will the judge make me – the owner of the vehicle – give the car back to her?

Question:Divorce lawyer Leslie Lorenzano

My ex is threatening to garnish my wages because I refuse to pay for a car for my 18-year-old child. It does not say in the divorce decree that I have to do this.

I already pay for half their college tuition and expenses. Can she force me to pay for the car, and if so will she be able to get an income deduction order?

mens divorce lawyerQuestion:

My car is financed under my mother's name, but I have been the one paying for it for two years. My wife has recently taken over the payments of the note due to my unemployment and lack of income.

In our divorce, would the truck be considered separate property or marital property since my wife has made some payments?

Divorce attorney Jason BowmanQuestion:

My wife and I are getting divorced. When we refinanced our marital home, we borrowed against the home equity and bought my wife a car. She is keeping the car in the divorce.

Even though the car debt is tied to the home, will she be responsible for the debt since she is keeping the vehicle?

Divorce attorney Jason BowmanQuestion:

I am currently making the car payments on the vehicle that was awarded to my ex-wife in our divorce.

She has since remarried. I would like to know if I am still required to pay for this car while she and her husband drive it?
