Indiana divorce lawyerQuestion:

I need financial advice on divorce on whether the courts will force my name - and the associated financial liabilities - to remain on the mortgage.

My wife wants to keep the marital home, but she cannot afford it nor qualify for a new mortgage on just her income. She wants me to keep my name on the mortgage for a set number of years before I can be released from my obligation, which I am against.

My question is can the courts make me stay on the martial home mortgage even if it means I cannot buy my own house when I move out?

Indiana divorce lawyerQuestion:

I have dozens of text messages that are very damaging to my wife and the case she is trying to present against me.

I would like to use these text messages as part of my defense but am curious about the rules of evidence and whether they can be used.

Do text messages submitted as evidence hold up in court?

Indiana divorce lawyerQuestion:

I would like to know how child support laws work when I am expected to provide proof showing my child is emancipated.

My daughter is over the age of 18, has graduated from high school, has a self-support job, and is not enrolled in college.

I am filing for termination of child support based on these facts. The termination paperwork states I need to show proof of her emancipation.

What type of proof do I need?
