mens divorce lawyerQuestion:

My daughter's mother's attorney submitted a child custody agreement to me with a child support payment amount already calculated.

How did the attorney come up with this number without information on my income? I submitted my income information to the state office and told the attorney that the Department of Revenue will handle billing and assigning the child support amount.

Now her attorney is saying I must provide him with a financial affidavit with my pay stubs. Is this right? Why can't the state handle the child support and not her attorney who most likely has dubious intentions?

My wife and I are thinking of a divorce and she is threatening to call the police and have them kick me out of our house.

Can she kick me out of the marital home?

mens divorce lawyerQuestion:

Do you have any divorce advice for men on what would enable me to increase the amount of parenting time with my kids?

Our current child custody agreements calls for us to split parenting time 50-50. However, I'm moving even closer to where my children live and I would like to have more than 50-50 though my ex-wife will not allow.

How can I get more parenting time with the children?

mens divorce lawyerQuestion:

My wife is requesting I pay child support after we divorce.

I have diabetes and must take insulin to live, though my health insurance doesn't cover the entire cost.

Can the cost of my uncovered medical expenses, such as the necessary insulin, be deducted from my income that will be used to determine child support payments?

I'm worried they will base the payments on my gross income without considering the substantial costs associated with my disease.

mens divorce lawyerQuestion:

Do child custody laws allow the mother to move the children out of state without the father's permission?

The mother of my children informed me she is moving in a month to another state and that there is nothing I can do to stop it. I have been involved in my kids' lives since their birth.

Is there anything I can do to prevent her from moving with our children?
