Question:Divorce lawyer Leslie Lorenzano

My divorce decree reads "any child care expenses incurred because either party must work will be paid 65% by the Husband and 35% by the Wife."

If I am available to watch my children while my ex is at work and she sends them to childcare, do I still have to pay?

Question:Divorce lawyer Leslie Lorenzano

My soon-to-be-ex-wife is pregnant with another man's child.

Does she have to inform the courts that she is pregnant while we go through the divorce process? Or how can I ensure I will have no legal responsibilities for a child who is not mine?

Question:Divorce lawyer Leslie Lorenzano

My ex-wife and I mutually agreed to change custody of our child and he now lives with me so I am the custodial parent. However, I still have child support deducted out of my paychecks and sent to her because we have not officially made this change with the court.

I would like the court to recognize our new custodial arrangement and the fact that I waive my right to needing child support from her.

What kind of legal documents to I have to give the court to have them recognize this and does an attorney need to be involved if we have a mutual agreement?

Question:Divorce lawyer Leslie Lorenzano

My pension does not vest until I have been working for 20 years, which is 8 years away. I have been told my soon-to-be-ex is entitled to half of my pension.

But what half is she entitled to? Half of the contribution amount that is in the account as of the file date or half of my pension when benefits are paid after 20 years?
