divorce lawyer laura langenburgQuestion:

I am separated from my wife who is currently pregnant with another man's child.

I understand that the child is "presumed" to be mine since I am married to the child's mother, but is there some document or paternity paperwork I can file with my divorce papers to ensure I am not held responsible for a child that is not mine?

divorce lawyer laura langenburgQuestion:

I am paying child support arrears for children that are now adults who I have reason to believe are not mine.

I never signed a birth certificate, had a genetic test taken, or was served with a court summons.

If I take a DNA test after years of paying child support showing that these children are not biologically mine, will it hold up in court?

divorce lawyer laura langenburgQuestion:

I am still married, but I have sole physical custody of my children and I want to ensure that my children attend the schools in my school district.

If I have this form of custody, can the children go to school where there mom lives even though it's in another district?

I want to know how to ensure my address remains their primary residency so I can choose where they go to school.

My ex-wife demanded she received full legal custody before she would sign off on our divorce that was completed almost a year ago.

Now I realize how important having legal custody is, so is there any way I can petition the court to modify the legal custody provision to at least give me joint legal custody?

Being retired military and receiving a military pension, is there any way that my wife could waive her claim on my retirement or any other property?

Or is the state going to divide my property, namely my military pension, regardless?
