St. Louis divorce lawyerQuestion:

Can I appeal parts of our divorce decree if it is later revealed my ex-wife was hiding information during our divorce?

She gave birth to a child that was not mine in 2005 only a few months after our divorce. She hid the fact that she was pregnant during our divorce proceedings.

If I had known of her infidelity and the fact she was pregnant with another man's child while we were married I never would have agreed to many of the settlements we reached in our divorce judgment.

Please advise if there are any actions I can take against her for concealing information and essentially lying throughout our divorce proceedings.

St. Louis divorce lawyerQuestion:

There are errors in my divorce decree and I would like to know how to go about correcting the issues or appealing the divorce.

I believe there is a timeline to contesting the divorce judgment, but I have not heard back from my divorce lawyer.

Should I request an adjustment from the courts myself or what other options are available to potentially appeal my divorce?

St. Louis divorce lawyerQuestion:

Is my divorce decree valid if it has handwritten notes all over it? I received what I was told was the final divorce papers, but almost nothing of what my ex-wife and I agreed to are in the settlement.

Instead there are sections crossed out and my ex-wife's handwritten notes addressing issues such as alimony, child support, and child custody.

I need some legal advice on whether this is a valid divorce decree.

St. Louis divorce lawyerQuestion:

My wife and I are negotiating our uncontested divorce pro se and trying to reach a divorce settlement.

In lieu of child support payments, we agree that I would continue to pay off a community-property debt we incurred while married.

How do we incorporate our waiving of child support into our divorce settlement?

St. Louis divorce lawyerQuestion:

At the time of my divorce I was not disabled, but I now receive disability benefits and my retirement pay has thus been reduced.

My ex-wife had a clause entered in the decree stating that I could not claim disability and reduce my retired pay.

Must I pay her the money that was reduced because of my disability?
