oklahoma city divorce lawyerQuestion:

How long does my ex-wife have to remove her personal property from the marital home after our divorce was finalized?

She was awarded most of the furniture, but it's been almost a year and she still hasn't removed it from the home. I don't want to get stuck with a bill for putting it in storage. So what can I do?

How long is the time frame for the furniture to still be in my house?

oklahoma city divorce lawyerQuestion:

Do I have a claim to my wife's personal injury settlement?

We have been separated for four years. During this separation period, she had a slip and fall personal injury that resulted in a large financial settlement.

Am I entitled to any of the settlement money she received since we are still legally married?

oklahoma city divorce lawyerQuestion:

My child support question is about state child support laws trumping what we agreed to in our divorce settlement.

Our divorce decree states I will pay child support until my daughter turns 18. She just turned 18 so I stopped paying child support, but the enforcement agency says I have to continue paying until she graduates high school.

My divorce decree says nothing about paying until graduation, but I was told that is the state law. I was unaware the child support enforcement agency could trump a legal document.

Do they really have the power to do this?

oklahoma city divorce lawyerQuestion:

My ex-wife and I share joint child custody. When I am forced to work late or otherwise be absent during my parenting time, I have to notify my ex-wife and give her a right of first refusal.

My ex-wife has now picked up an extra job requiring her to work nights. When she works during her parenting time hours, she does not afford me the same opportunity and instead leaves our child with a relative.

She refuses to let me have our child while she works during her parenting time. Is there anything I can do?

oklahoma city divorce lawyerQuestion:

How is child support calculated when the custodial parent receives a large share of marital property?

My ex received half of my retirement account in cash and is spending like crazy. With the income from her job and the money she took from my retirement, she made significantly more than I did last year.

Can I temporarily modify child support because of this even though the property division payout was a one-time payment?
