Attorney Brad CunninghamQuestion:

I currently reside in a different county then where my divorce case is taking place. My divorce has been dragged on for two years (continuances, postponements, judge's illness, etc.).

Can I change jurisdictions to the county I now live in and see if that will speed things up? Also, the judge is not using the agreements we came up with but instead is using his own interpretations. He is invoking some laws of the county over the laws of the state. Can county laws overrule state laws?

Attorney Brad CunninghamQuestion:

I have to pay a huge lump sum alimony. I am currently in contempt and threatened every day.

My ex-wife recently forged my name to an insurance check and loan modification paperwork in which one of her friends notarized. She is determined to ruin me.

Is there hope of relief from the courts based on her actions?

Attorney Brad CunninghamQuestion:

My brother has a $130,000 judgment against him in Massachusetts for back child support. The state is hunting him down like a felon. Every time he gets a job, the majority of his paycheck is garnished making it impossible to live or move on with his life.

All he wants to do is be a part of his kids' lives but this judgment is weighing over him and making it difficult for any parenting time. What do you suggest?

Attorney Brad CunninghamQuestion:

My daughter recently reached the age of emancipation and my child support payments were halted. I was given the tax deduction for my daughter as part of the divorce decree and my ex signed IRS Form 8332 each year, granting me that deduction.

Now that my daughter is emancipated, I assume Form 8332 is no longer applicable, but can I still claim her if her as my dependent?

Attorney Brad CunninghamQuestion:

The court issued an order suspending my parenting time because I would not give my address and phone number to my ex-wife who was harassing me. I haven't seen my child in two years because of this.

Is there a way for the courts to have my address and phone number and have that suspension lifted but still keep that information from my ex-wife?
