One of the most difficult aspects of divorce when you have children can be the process of explaining to them what is happening and reassuring them that they are still loved.

Elementary school teacher and author Joanna Rowland recently published a children’s book that touches upon this subject called, “Always Mom, Forever Dad.”

In the book, divorce and traveling between two households is looked at through children’s eyes. Rowland does an excellent job of presenting both the mother and father characters fairly as well as coming up with all sorts of activities that children can still look forward to with their parents.

With a strong message of hope and love, as well as beautiful and clear illustrations by artist Penny Weber, “Always Mom, Forever Dad” is a great book for children dealing with the divorce of their parents.

NOTE: DadsDivorce will hold a book giveaway for one copy of Rowland’s “Always Mom, Forever Dad.” All entries should be sent to info@dadsdivorce.com by Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 12 pm Central Time. The winner will be chosen randomly and announced the following day on Friday, July 25, 2014.

“At my dad’s house, when I’m sick, he makes me chicken noodle soup. Then he reads me some of our favorite books until I’m fast asleep.”

“When I’m with my mom and a storm cancels our day at the zoo, mom says changes can be hard, but they can be exciting, too. She helps me to imagine fun things to do on a rainy day.”

“At my dad’s house and at my mom’s house, I am loved. And when I ask them how long they’ll love me, they both reply always and forever. And I know it’s true.”
