Question:
My friend's wife committed adultery and is now living with the man she committed adultery with ( and is actively trying to have a child with him.) She had one child that her mother has custody of, one child she was pregnant with when she met my friend and he raised the baby as his own and one child they had together. He pays her 24% of his wages in child support. MY question is does he have to by law pay it?
Answer:
Allow me to preface my answer to your question with the disclaimer that I am not licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia. He has an obligation to pay child support for his biological child(ren)or any other child adopted by him. Any child that was not his is not his responsiblity for payment.
